First Jerwood Commission at Rambert announced

The Jerwood Commission at Rambert has been announced as In Crimson by choreographers Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber.

 

Jerwood Foundation’s support for the first year of this programme, with a grant of £29,750 enables one choreographer and one paid choreographic assistant to create and premiere bold new work with Rambert’s ensemble of dancers, drawing on the company’s artistic leadership, production expertise and touring networks.

 

In Crimson marks the duo's first presentation in the UK and their European premiere with Rambert, bringing their distinctive voice to the stage through the company's exceptional dancers, completing the company's Centenary programme: This is Rambert.

 

Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber said:
