Here Today, Here Tomorrow: Jerwood Collection Exhibition

Jerwood Collection presents the exhibition Here Today, Here Tomorrow at Arnolfini, Bristol (23 November, 2024 – 2 February, 2025). This exhibition features twenty-two works on loan from Jerwood Collection. Each artwork has been carefully chosen to draw upon ideas of life cycles; our relationship to nature; and the spaces that we inhabit.

The exhibition includes a recent Jerwood Collection acquisition, He’s Upstairs, 2023, by Hurvin Anderson, alongside works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Patrick Caulfield RA, Kaye Donachie, Maggi Hambling, David Hockney RA, Eliot Hodgkin, Yinka Ilori, Chantal Joffe RA, Shani Rhys James, John Wells and Clare Woods RA.

Taking inspiration from their major exhibition Rinko Kawauchi: At the edge of the everyday world (19 October 2024 – 16 February 2025) Arnolfini have brought together atmospheric landscapes, elegant still lifes, and compelling portraits from the Jerwood Collection that capture the textures of everyday lives and the poetic traces that humans leave behind.

Here Today, Here Tomorrow is the second exhibition of a three-year collaboration between Jerwood Collection and Arnolfini, exploring the idea of art for enjoyment, supported by Jerwood Foundation.
