A work by Laurence Stephen Lowry (1887-1976) from the Jerwood Collection is on loan to L.S. Lowry at MK Gallery, presented from 24 October 2026 – 28 February 2027.
The exhibition marks the 50th anniversary of the artist’s death and offers a major overview of Lowry’s practice, exploring the full breadth of his work beyond his iconic industrial scenes, including portraits, landscapes and more experimental compositions.
On loan from the Jerwood Collection is The Canal Bridge, 1944, a significant example of Lowry’s distinctive vision of urban and industrial life in Britain.
