Jerwood New Playwright: Oli Forsyth’s production “Brace Brace” opening at the Royal Court Theatre

The Royal Court Theatre’s Jerwood New Playwright Programme offers playwrights at an early stage in their career, production and development opportunities at the Royal Court. Since 1994, this programme has supported a great number of writers to have their plays produced. This year, Oli Forsyth is the recipient of this accolade and will see his play “Brace Brace” run from 3rd October 2024 to 2nd November 2024 in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs at the Royal Court.

The play is directed by Daniel Raggett and the cast includes Phil Dunster, Craige Els and Anjana Vasan. Brace Brace is a gripping story of the people we become in the aftermath of catastrophe.

Oli Forsyth, Jerwood New Playwright said:

This play started with one scribbled sentence, in the back of a book, on a long train journey. That it is now being fully realised by an incredible team in such a celebrated venue is more exciting than I can tell you.

Anjana Vasan, cast member said:

I’m so excited to start rehearsing Oli Forsyth’s brilliant and surprising play, with this incredibly talented team. I love the Royal Court, especially the magical Upstairs space and I can’t wait to share this show with audiences.
