Jerwood Foundation supports Granta Trust

Jerwood Foundation has awarded a grant of £15,820 to the Granta Trust to commission early career photographers for work to be published in Granta magazine and granta.com. The UK based photographers will gain an insight into the process of being commissioned by a leading magazine, have the ability to develop their craft, and a platform to showcase their work to a large international audience.

Granta Trust’s primary aim is to introduce new voices to a wide readership and to provide authors and photographers with a platform for work that would not be published elsewhere.

Granta’s ethos is the same as the Jerwood Foundation’s, supporting excellence and emerging talent in the arts. Editorially we actively seek out, and place an emphasis on, work by new and emerging authors and photographers both in the UK and throughout the world, alongside writing in translation. In all our work we aim to publish work of the highest quality, whether in fiction, non-fiction, photo essays or poetry. Granta strives to develop talent from all backgrounds and communities, and to inspire them to excellence – we thank the Jerwood Foundation for the opportunity to invest in emerging photographers.
