Jerwood Foundation has awarded a grant of £25,000 to Art UK. This support helps enable the publication of 48 stories on a range of artists, artworks and collections with a focus on twentieth and twenty-first century British art. The funding will also increase the range of related learning content available on Art UK covering all the major movements and styles of the period.
This generous grant enables us to bring a new focus to the twentieth- and twenty-first-century British art held in UK public collections. Telling these stories to a wide and diverse audience is a key part of Art UK's strategic vision.
- Andrew Shore, Director of Content at Art UK
Art UK is an art education charity, on a mission to make the art in UK public collections accessible to everyone, for enjoyment, learning and research. They enable global audiences to learn about the UK’s national art collection by digitising artworks, telling the stories behind the art, supporting teachers with online learning resources and creating exciting opportunities for public interaction with art, both online and offline.
