This Winter the Jerwood Collection presents Dream and Refuge at Arnolfini, Bristol; an exhibition of works that explore home, refuge and movement, from prints of dancing figures and colourful dreamscapes, to carved clay sculptural bowls and still life oil paintings.
Featuring artists Tunji Adeniyi-Jones, Michael Armitage, Vanessa Bell, Halima Cassell, Paula Rego, Bridget Riley, Mike Silva and Rose Wylie, Dream and Refuge is brought together in collaboration with UWE Bristol's MA Curating programme.
This exhibition is the first of a three-year collaboration, supported by Jerwood Foundation, between Arnolfini and Jerwood Collection to share the collection and explore the idea of art for enjoyment.
Dream and Refuge will run from 4 November 2023 to 24 January 2024 in Gallery 5 at Arnolfini. Entry is free, with donations welcomed.
