Jerwood Foundation has awarded a £10,000 grant to Messums 4X20 Choreography Platform. This support helps fund the commission award of £3,500 presented to each selected choreographer and the supporting costs.
Messum Wiltshire Festival of Dance returns from 14 to 23 July 2023. The Messums 4X20 Choreography Platform is the cornerstone event which takes place on Tuesday 18 July 2023.
The platform commissions two emerging choreographers to present one pre-existing and one newly developed choreographic work. In addition, the artists receive professional production and marketing support. The selected 4X20 choreographers for 2023 are John-William Watson and Chandenie Gobardhan – two outstanding artists based in Leeds and London respectively.
