Acquisition Announcement: Lubna Chowdhary Wells print series

Jerwood Collection is delighted to announce the acquisition of Wells 2025, a series of three relief prints by Lubna Chowdhary (b.1964), who was shortlisted for the Jerwood Ceramics Prize in 2001. Known for her vibrant, materially rich practice spanning ceramics, sculpture, and print, Chowdhary’s work explores the intersection of craft, architecture, and cultural identity.

Wells continues the artist’s investigation into pattern, abstraction, and the built environment, translating her distinctive visual language into a striking series of prints. The works exemplify her ability to combine precision and spontaneity, celebrating both formal structure and intuitive rhythm.
