This autumn, Glyndebourne comes to life once more and as part of their autumn programme participants of Jerwood Pit Perfect; a development scheme for young professional instrumentalists, will give public recitals at Glyndebourne and other venues and deliver workshops for university students.
Jerwood Pit Perfect scheme offers recent graduates the opportunity to join the Glyndebourne Sinfonia (formerly the Glyndebourne Tour Orchestra) during Glyndebourne’s autumn season. The purpose of the scheme is to provide young instrumentalists real-world work experience over a concentrated period. The chosen players participate on an equal footing with established members of the orchestra and are paid for their participation.
The seven Jerwood Pit Perfect Scheme instrumentalists who will be joining the Glyndebourne Sifonia this autumn are Alexandra Schifflers; violin, Madeleine Pickering; violin, Vanessa Hristova; viola, Kelvin Chan; viola, Hannah Scarborough; cello, Georgia Lloyd; bass and William Scotland; french horn.
