The purpose of Jerwood Collection is to share this privately-owned collection of Modern and Contemporary art with the public. Jerwood Collection regularly lends works to a wide range of national and international institutions.

    All loan requests and queries should be emailed to Lara Wardle, Executive Director (lara@jerwood.org)

    Loan requests must include the following information:

    • Full details of the artwork(s) with stock number requested for loan

    • Exhibition title, dates and venue(s)

    • Background to the exhibition/reason for loan request

    Loan Guidelines

    Works from the collection can be loaned to institutions nationally and internationally, subject to the following conditions:

    • The work will not be released until loan agreements are completed and signed and insurance certificates have been received;

    • The borrow is responsible for insuring all loaned works in the name of Jerwood Foundation for ‘All Risks’, including terrorism cover, on a ‘nail to nail’ basis;

    • The borrower must meet all costs associated with the loan which will be set out and agreed in advance. These include packing, insurance, transportation;

    • Condition reports, with digital photographs, must be completed upon unpacking and repacking the artwork and sent to lara@jerwood.org;

    • Digital installation images, copies of exhibition catalogues and published materials, press coverage and visitor numbers are to be sent to lara@jerwood.org or posted to:

  • Jerwood Foundation is a member of Gallery Climate Coalition and committed to reducing our environmental impact. We aim to increase sustainability practices and policies. We ask that any borrowing institution try to avoid shipping artworks by airfreight and where possible combine shipping journeys. We can help with advising on sustainable and repurposed packing materials.
